Andy Germano has over 25 years experience in the telecommunications industry. He currently serves as Vice President, for the Small Cell Forum since 2009. Andy also works as the VP of Business Development for BEC Technologies. Andy’s corporate experience includes a broad range of the telecoms eco-system including silicon, software, customer premises equipment (CPE), network management and infrastructure for both wired and wireless applications. Andy has held VP, Director, GM and senior level leadership positions in Marketing, Business Development and Product Management with several successful start-up companies including AuthenTec (NASDAQ IPO & acquired by Apple), Tantivy (acquired by InterDigital), WiDeFi (Co-founder & acquired by QUALCOMM), INSIDE Secure (Euronext IPO) and BEC Technologies (Co-founder & currently serves over 300 telco customers). Andrew also directed product management for several industry leaders including QUALCOMM, Ericsson, Northern Telecom and GTE (Verizon). Andrew started his career in GTE’s Engineering Associate Development Program. He has a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from Duke University, a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Pennsylvania State University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Mathematics from Saint Vincent College. Andrew is a Senior Member of IEEE.
