Peter Murray

Orlando, FL

Murray currently leads the Connected Cities Tour and is a Federal Funding Judge for the U.S. Department of Commerce’s NTIA Broadband Infrastructure and Digital Equity programs.


He was born and raised in New York, New York and earned a Master of Business in Information Technology from Fordham University. His Major was Utilizing Technology for Competitive Advantage. He was an Executive at Verizon, MCI, Level 3 and PECO before founding Wireless Access Communications Inc. where he was involved in the design, deployment and funding of numerous network projects.


He also founded Dense Networks in 2013 and the Connected Cities Tour in 2016. He is a well-regarded expert in municipal and in building network design and deployment and has worked with over 37 major markets throughout the United States. The Connected Cities Tour has become a leading “Social Think Tank” that facilitates the discussion of the Use Cases, Technology Architectures, Business Models and Funding Sources shaping “Smart” deployments in Cities, Buildings and Built Environment.


He has taught E Commerce and Technology for Competitive Advantage at Temple University and helped develop the Entrepreneurial program at the Community College of Philadelphia. At CCP, he taught Intro to IT and Intro to Business to inner city youth and developed his passion to bridge the Digital Divide at that time. Tim Scott

Denver, CO

Tim has an international, broad, and diverse background across nearly 20 years of experience in the telecommunications and broadband markets and is a noted Fiber Optic Networking and Open Access expert.


He has specialized in building Public, Private, Partnerships in the State of Colorado where he has helped fund, design, deploy and manage Dark Fiber and Open Access Networks. He led the City of Centennial’s deployment of their 50-mile dark fiber city-wide backbone.


Currently, Tim is also the prime consultant on the City of Boulder’s 65-mile fiber network which is part of the citywide Smart City Initiative. He also is engaged as the City of Breckenridge, Colorado’s representative managing network interconnections and growth.

Al Jenkins

New York

Executive level strategist/advisor of Broadband Network Implementation and Services bridging municipal broadband deployment initiatives with wireless and wireline next generation technology. SME on the assessment of real property assets and its viability for neutral host options for third party broadband providers. Al is the former Deputy Commissioner of Telecommunications Planning at NYC’s Department of IT & Telecommunications (DoITT) with extensive domestic and international experience with Telecommunications & Broadband Planning senior officials and their initiatives to implement Smart City solutions. Extensive knowledge of Federal, State and Local wireless citing and policy issues. Al possesses a BS in Architecture from the University of Maryland.
